What is a lesson package on Repetry?

A Lesson Package is a bundle of lessons offered by our tutors, often at a discounted rate. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you understand how to purchase and manage your lesson packages on Repetry:

How to purchase a lesson package

Understanding lesson packages:

  • Lesson Packages are pre-paid bundles of lessons in 30, 50, and 80-minute durations, with the availability depending on the tutor, who may offer only certain durations or all options.
  • They are valid from 1 to 6 months from the purchase date, depending on the number of lessons in the package. The expiry date is visible on the Package page in your account.
  • Each lesson package is offered at a discounted rate: 5% off for 3 lessons, 10% off for 6 lessons, and 15% off for 12 lessons.
  • Prices are displayed per lesson, and some packages come with a discount already applied. The final price for the package is shown on the checkout page.

Choosing your package:

  • Select your tutor and click “Book Me Now” on their profile card or on their profile page.

  • On the purchase page, choose your preferred lesson duration, select a package, and apply any promo codes or coupons.
  • If you haven’t added your name, surname, and phone number to your profile, you’ll need to do so as these details are required for payment processing.

Checking package details:

  • In your account under “My Tutors,” or on the booking form, you can see the validity period and the number of lessons in your package.

  • To book a lesson, go to your account and click “Schedule a Lesson.”

  • Each lesson card will include information about the lesson and a link to Google Meet for the session. You can also arrange to use other communication platforms like Zoom or Skype with your tutor.

Cancelling Your package details, including the number of remaining lessons and their validity, will be shown.

  • Choose a lesson slot from the tutor’s availability and book it. The lesson will appear in your list of scheduled lessons.

Viewing scheduled lessons:

  • On the calendar, days with scheduled lessons will be marked in light blue, while past lessons will be greyed out.

or rescheduling lessons

  • You can cancel or reschedule a lesson if done more than 6 hours before the scheduled time.
  • For cancellations within 6 hours, you need to contact your tutor directly. The tutor has the discretion to accept or reject the late cancellation request.
  • If you need to reschedule or cancel a lesson within 6 hours, you may negotiate with your tutor for a late cancellation. However, the tutor has the right to refuse, and the lesson will be considered conducted according to our platform’s rules.

Tutor cancellations:

  • Tutors can cancel a lesson before it starts but cannot reschedule it. They should inform the student and the lesson will be returned to the package for rebooking.

Security and privacy

  • Do not share personal information with tutors or students to ensure your safety. Report any suspicious behavior to our support team.

Handling tutor requests:

  • If a tutor asks you to leave the platform and pay directly, please contact support for assistance.

After the Lesson

  • After a lesson is completed, wait 24 hours for automatic confirmation if there are no complaints.
  • If you encounter any issues during the lesson, such as the tutor not showing up or other problems, you can click “Support” on the lesson card and contact support. You have 24 hours to report the issue before the lesson is automatically confirmed and payment is processed to the tutor.
  • You also have the option to confirm the lesson earlier through a button in your account.

After your first lesson, you can leave a review for the tutor in the “My Tutors” section on the tutor’s specific tab.
